Aberdeen Airport is one of Scotland's major air hubs and is also the world's largest commercial heliport, connecting the North Sea Oil Fields with the mainland.
Official airport opening times are from 05:00 - 22:30, with arrivals and departures located together on the ground floor.
There is a left luggage facility, baby change room, and ATMs before and after security, while Travelex operates a bureau de change opposite the information desk (05:30-22:00 Monday-Friday, 06:00-18:00 weekends). The Aberdeen Airport Thistle Hotel provides business facilities and services.
The airport offers a wide selection of shops, including Books Plus, Christian Scott (knitwear and Scottish gifts), The Whiskey Shop and Box of Delights, as well as several duty-free outlets. There are plenty of restaurants and food outlets available, as well as cafés, pubs and bars.
There are toilets for the disabled as well as ramps and lifts, and induction loops for the hard of hearing. Cheap parking is available for disabled drivers.
The airport information desk is located on the ground floor near the check-in desks (05:00 - 22:00).
The nearest train station is Dyce, with regular services into Aberdeen city centre from where there are frequent connections across Scotland and England. There are daily bus services into Aberdeen.
Taxis are available outside the terminal building; all are metered while you can check sample fares at the airport information desk. The airport is clearly signposted from the A96 Aberdeen - Inverness road; take the A947 exit at Dyce.
