Edinburgh International Airport EDI

Edinburgh International Airport is one of the chief gateways to Scotland and offers frequent domestic connections as well as numerous scheduled flights to European and trans-Atlantic destinations.

The arrivals area is located on the ground floor, while departures and most restaurants and shops are located on the first floor. Passenger facilities include a left luggage/lost property service (open 05:00 - 23:00), bureau de change, ATMs, baby change rooms and a first aid room.

There is a wide range of restaurants and bars throughout the terminal building, most open from 06:00 until 22:00. In addition, there is a huge variety of shops, including duty-free after security.

British Airways, British Midland and Servisair all have executive lounges with phone, fax and Internet facilities for business travellers.

Facilities for the disabled include specially designed toilets, ramps, lifts, induction loops, low-level flight information monitors, dedicated parking, and a minicom system.

The airport information desk and the Edinburgh Tourist Board are both located in the international arrivals hall.

Regular buses connect the terminal with Edinburgh's main railway station Waverley, from where there are frequent services to Glasgow and other destinations on the national rail network. An Airsaver bus ticket will get you into the city centre and includes unlimited, same-day travel on the local city bus network.

The airport is well signposted, lying just off the A8 Edinburgh - Glasgow highway. Both short- and long-stay parking are available, the latter served by a free shuttle bus operating from 6am to 10pm.
