After swimming under a picturesque waterfall, you’ll enter a series of free-flight aviaries that tower above you. Here you can touch, feed and get acquainted with hundreds of colorful tropical birds and other fascinating wildlife.
Feel a unique mixture of calm and captivation as you snorkel amid thousands of rays and exotic fish, and explore the splendor of coral reefs and grottos. It’s an experience as vivid as the colors you’ll encounter.

Personal Attention: At Discovery Cove, there are never any crowds as attendance is limited to 1,000 guests a day, ensuring a relaxing experience for everyone. A high level of guest service abounds at Discovery Cove as guests are personally checked in for their day of discovery. After check in, guests enjoy a beautiful walk through a nature trail where they may encounter some unique animals and prepare for the serenity of their day.
Age Requirements: The only activity with an age requirement is the dolphin-swim experience, which requires guests to be at least 6 years old.
Dolphin Swim
The Dolphin Swim gives you a chance to talk, touch, play and swim with our gentle and exquisite bottlenose dolphins. Discovery Cove is home to 30 of these amazing marine mammals. The Dolphin Swim begins with an interactive orientation in our secluded cabanas which includes a brief video presentation on dolphin characteristics, how to use hand signals and positive reinforcement to communicate with your dolphin and various safety guidelines. Next, you and your group of 6-8 guests head to our quaint Dolphin Lagoon where you’ll wade into our shallow turquoise waters to start your exclusive dolphin experience. Here, you will meet and play with a dolphin for 30 minutes, getting to know each other through hugs, kisses, rubdowns and, ultimately, a one-on-one swim together through the lagoon.

Coral Reef
Immerse yourself in Discovery Cove’s unique coral reef for a swim you won’t soon forget. Here, you can snorkel through the expansive colorful reefs, shipwreck remains and enchanting grottos. Spend as much time as you desire coming face-to-face with countless species of exotic fish, staring into the enormous eyes of giant rays and even catching a glimpse of shark and barracuda as they swim safely behind protective glass.

Tropical River
Relax the day away in our invitingly warm, freshwater tropical river as you wind your way through a variety of extraordinary Discovery Cove landscapes. Stop off to dig your toes into the soft sand of the sunny island beach. Absorb the sights and sounds as you float past the dense rainforest. Enjoy the echoes of laughter you and your family create as you enter an underwater cave. Soak in water cascades as you go through rocky waterfalls. Visit our interactive aviary for a wildly amazing tour. Or, just chill out in our freshwater lagoon. |

Ray Lagoon
Prepare yourself for an astonishing opportunity to snorkel, wade and play with dozens of southern and cow-nose rays. Some of these peaceful animals can grow up to 4 feet in diameter and, unexpectedly, feel velvety to the touch.

Aviary
One of the most remarkable discoveries at Discovery Cove is that part of your day interacting with our wonderful wildlife can take place on land, too! Our free-flight aviary is a hidden treasure just waiting for you to unearth. Feast your eyes on more than 250 tropical birds as you snake your way through stone catacombs, over bridges and across rivers bordering this sprawling oasis. Accessible through the Tropical River’s magnificent waterfalls or by way of the Discovery Cove beaches, you will marvel as colorful birds dine from your open palm. |
