Nestled amongst the Eifel Mountains in Germany, near to the Luxembourg and Belgium borders, the Nurburgring provides a fitting backdrop for the Grand Prix of Europe. The racetrack is fairly isolated but good accessibility from Calais and our hotel base in the city of Bonn make it a great place to experience Formula One – whether you choose to lie back and let our coach take the strain or drive your own car across.
The new circuit, built in 1984, is safer than its predecessor and has a reputation for providing spectators with excellent viewing opportunities.
It’s easy to walk around the track to view the race from several angles – and with a combination of long straights and fast corners, this is a track with plenty of opportunity to overtake.
The racetrack facilities are excellent and in 2003 the huge, and enthusiastic, home crowd was able to cheer the younger Schumacher to victory – with Montoya just behind to make it a Williams-BMW one two.
