BEACHES
Playa d'en Bossa Beach.
The beach is the longest stretch on Ibiza, along its entire length you will find bars and cafés offering all kinds of refreshment. The water is very clear and shallow with a soft sand sea bed, making it popular for beach games. You won't find much shade, go prepared with plenty of sunscreen and cover-ups. When the wind blows from the south, the beach is popular with wind surfers, who like the bump and jump conditions caused by the choppy swell. The beach furthest from Ibiza Town is usually quieter, so if you are looking for the definitive Ibiza beach party, the middle section is where you will want to be. Activities include pedaloes, windsurfing, diving, parasailing, volleyball and swimming. You can reach this beach either by car, bicycle, or bus from Ibiza Town about 4 kms away
THINGS TO DO AND SEE.
D'Alt Vila.
The old medieval district of Ciudad de Ibiza (Ibiza Town) gives a fascinating insight into the history of Ibiza. The town has narrow cobbled streets and pretty whitewashed houses. The Gothic architecture, built around courtyards are decked with geraniums and bougainvillaea. The old town, is enclosed by walls and is entered through the Puerta de las Tablas. The Archaeological Museum houses artefacts from prehistoric sites on the Balearic Islands, dating back to the Punic period between the 5th and 7th centuries BC. Also worth seeing is the cathedral with a 10th century Gothic tower and an 18th century Baroque nave.
Aguamar.
There are 7 sets of water slides. The largest has eight lanes and is wide straight and slow. There is also a much steeper four lane slide and a single high faster one. There are four other slides that are the twist and turn type with lots of curves and corners. And of course the "The Black Hole." In the middle is one huge pool and other smaller ones for non swimmers and children. There are several picnic areas and cafes. Aguamar There are 7 sets of water slides.
