Santa Eulalia
IBIZA

 
A white washed 16th century church overlooks this charming resort. There are hidden coves as well as a main sandy beach offering a wide choice of water sports.
The resort also has a good selection of shops, bars, cafes and stylish boutiques. The modern marina has good waterside bars and restaurants. Santa Eulalia tends to be a quiet place by day, but once the sun goes down the night life comes into its own.
Surrounded by beautiful pine covered hills, the area makes a good base for walking and touring holidays.
BEACHES
Santa Eulalia Beach.
Next to the promenade, they have created a wide sandy beach. The water is shallow, making it safe for children and non swimmers. There are many water sport facilities on offer. Activities include sailing, banana boat, water skiing, diving near the marina and swimming.
Es Figueral Beach.
This beach has shallow waters and a beautiful sandy beach backed by rocky terrain. The hills and rough coast are popular walking areas (recommended for experienced walkers). The surrounding area is generally quiet, ideal if you want to get away from the crowds. Activities include pedaloes, windsurfing, water skiing, banana boat and diving. You can reach this beach either by car or bus, from San Carlos.
Pou d'es Lleo Beach.
The idyllic sheltered cove, has a small sandy beach with no shade available it is advised to go prepared with sunscreen and cover ups. The beautiful setting also makes this a popular choice for walking. The bay is also a favourite for snorkelling enthusiasts with some interesting rock formations. Activities include relaxation, snorkelling, swimming and a kiosk to by food and drinks. The only access to the beach is by car, from San Carlos.

Cala Boix Beach.
This is a nice beach with firm dark sand, surrounded by high hills on either side. The only accessed is via steep steps, not recommended for the elderly or disabled. Above the beach you will find a car park and a few restaurants, café's and a shop. Activities include swimming and relaxation. The only access to the beach is by car from San Carlos.
Cala Lleña Beach.
Set in a valley the beach is surrounded by pine covered slopes, with a broad curve of fine white sand. The water shelves gently, making it safe for children and non swimmers. There are good water sports facilities, and several beach bars. Activities include wind surfing, swimming and pedaloes. The only access to the beach is by car from San Carlos.
Cala Nova Beach.
Located in one of the quietest parts of Ibiza, the beach is a broad curve of sand with very shallow water going out for some distance. It is a beautiful drive to get here with some of the best scenery on the island. The rugged country is ideal for experienced walkers. In bad weather, you can expect to see some sensational breakers crashing on the shore, causing a dangerous undertow. On these occasions you will see the dedicated surfers. Activities include surfing (recommended for very experienced surfers during bad weather conditions) beach games, paddling, swimming and pedaloes. You can reach this beach by foot or bicycle from Es Cana, only a few hundred metres away, or by car from San Carlos and Cala Leña.
Cala Martina Beach.
This sheltered beach is ideal for families with a selection of water sports and places to eat. Located near to Es Cana, it is also handy for the Hippy Market and if you like walking there are some nice areas around the near by cliffs. When the weather conditions are right this is also a favourite surfing beach. Activites include wind surfing, dicing and pedaloes. The beach can be reached either by bicycle or just a short walk from Es Cana.
S'Argamassa Beach.
This is a lovely secluded beach set between Cala Martina and Cala Pada. The sheltered sandy beach and shallow water make it perfect for families. Offering lots of water sports and activities there is something to keep all the family amused. Activites include pedaloes, water skiing, banana boat, parasailing, swimming and beach games. You can get to this beach either by car, bicycle, or bus from Santa Eulalia or Es Cana, only 2 kms away or short walk from either of the two resorts.
Cala Pada Beach.
The beach is broad, with gently shelving water. There are some offshore reefs here that protect the bay from the open sea, making it popular with wind surfers when the conditions are right. Activities include wind surfing, diving, parasailing and pedaloes. You can get here by car, bicycle, bus from Santa Eulalia and Es Cana 2 kms away or on foot.
Niu Blau Beach.
Located off the Santa Eulalia Road to Es Cana, this lovely little beach is shaded by pine trees. There are all the usual facilities here such as showers, sunloungers and umbrellas. Activites include pedaloes boats, water skiing and banana boat. To get to this beach is either by car, bicycle, or bus from Santa Eulalia or Es Cana, only 2 kms away or on foot.
Cala Llonga Beach.
A superb bay surrounded by pine covered hills on either side. It has a lovely wide sandy beach and shallow water for some distance off shore. The conditions are ideal for children, inexperienced wind surfers and non swimmers. There is no shade so take cover ups and plenty of sunscreen. Activities include wind surfing, water skiing, diving, parasailing, diving volleyball and pedaloes. You can reach this beach either by car, bicycle, or bus from Santa Eulalia, only 7 kms away or by ferry from Santa Eulalia and Ibiza during the summer.
THINGS TO DO AND SEE.
D'Alt Vila.
The old medieval district of Ciudad de Ibiza (Ibiza Town) gives a fascinating insight into the history of Ibiza. The town has narrow cobbled streets and pretty whitewashed houses. The Gothic architecture, built around courtyards are decked with geraniums and bougainvillaea. The old town, is enclosed by walls and is entered through the Puerta de las Tablas. The Archaeological Museum houses artefacts from prehistoric sites on the Balearic Islands, dating back to the Punic period between the 5th and 7th centuries BC. Also worth seeing is the cathedral with a 10th century Gothic tower and an 18th century Baroque nave.
