For many, Majorca will need no real introduction, yet even for those who have visited the island many times, it still has an amazing capacity to surprise and delight. Of course, the beaches are still wonderful, the sun still shines and there is a wealth of mouth-watering local and international cuisine on offer which can be as simple or sophisticated as your fancy - and wallet - takes you. A little exploration and imagination can reveal the most amazing sights and experiences - tiny coves, soaring mountains, deserted bays, picturesque villages, colourful markets, hidden forests, panoramic vistas, smart marinas, ancient monasteries and secluded beaches reached only by snaking, mountain roads. Apart from the coast, which varies enormously around the island, there is a whole host of inland trasures, some of which can be glimpsed from the picturesque railway which winds its way through orange groves from Soller to Palma, the vibrant, cosmopolitan capital with its magnificent cathedral. Most of the island can be reached within an hour¹s drive so a whole day can really allow you to explore at a leisurely pace. We thoroughly recommend a car for your stay in order for you to make the most of the island. As Majorca was our first destination we feel well placed to be able to offer you the very best of the island. We have villas with private pools and apartments around Pollensa and Cala d¹Or, together with a wide range of hotels both in these and other selected areas across the island.
